Workshop Blog - Session Eight

Hi all!

The next few blog entries and workshop sessions are designed to support you as you fine tune and finish off your stories. As you'll be quite busy doing this, there aren't any more activities!

However, it would be very useful for you and all of us if you could post regularly on how you're going creatively... and absolutely imperative that you let us know if you are having any technical problems!

Feedback from those who were able to attend our informal 'get cracking' session last Sunday was positive! We got almost all voiceovers recorded and most people were feeling much more confident with the relevant software and story-making process by the end of the day!

If you weren't able to attend and are still feeling a little overwhelmed or lost it's definitely time to get in touch as we're aiming for a 9th October finish up date! If necessary we can tee up a time to record your voiceover and get 'properly' started in the next couple of days.

Meanwhile, I've just booked a final wrap up day at the Media Resource Centre on Sunday 11th October. This will be our opportunity to add final finishing touches and consolidate all your project files (and all assets) onto one hard drive... I'll then be spending a little bit of time doing tech checks (on sound and picture quality) before creating a DVD master. This will be used by SHine as part of the educational resource and be launched at FEAST on November 21st. Needless to say you will all get a free copy that you can show to friends and family!

It'd be great if you could let me know ASAP if you're able to attend on our final workshop day on the 11th (I'll book computers and facilitators/tech support according to demand) and where you're up to now...
