Sometimes it's actually harder coming out as clergy than coming out as queer...

Hi again Leanne,
Loved your video! Wish more religious people could get the message that God is pure love and he loves diversity. How could he not when he created it.

Thank you - I still grieve for my Christian faith...I don't think it will ever return but I thank you for this story and the healing it brings xx

Thanks Jenski, such an important message you are sending out here. Thank you for opening my eyes to an area where partial (perhaps selective) blindness existed for me. XX

Thank You. That helps heaps!! All those beautiful images and the pauses in your speaking makes it easy to focus on the images and signs and banners! Wish every u.c / catholic church in the city would look at the link to RFT! But I guess just starting with the more progesssive ones is a start!

O.M.G… Is she really? - by Leanne Jenski

When I was first asked to make a digital story I found the idea very exciting. It was a challenge narrowing down what to say and then thinking about the best way to present it with music and pictures. I think for me, my story is trying to put an alternative Christian viewpoint out there… there is so much hype in the media from conservative Christians about the sin of homosexuality. Often the progressive viewpoint is not heard as a balance. I wanted to communicate that some people in the church think differently now and welcome us into their communities. I really want anyone who is struggling with their sexuality and Christianity to know that there are people ‘out’ there who can help.

I feel a little awkward still when I see the story on the big screen but deep down I feel very proud of it. It’s like I have given birth to something… and I am yet to know its impact. I feel very honoured to be part of a great resource. I hope that all the stories bring hope and new possibilities for people who feel they have no voice or place to be who they are.
