Profile Information

What would you most like to change about the world that you live in?
Oh, so much. Fundamentally I'd like to see humans be more responsible and open minded, less selfish and greedy. But I also think it's interesting to see things evolve naturally (although it does irritate me beyond belief at times).
What can you do to make it happen?
I tell it like it is, not how the wider community may percieve it. I'm not afraid to be an individual. I think 'leading by example' is a great way to create positive ripples through society.
I also deal with topics close to my heart through my art projects.

About My Story - Stealth Crip

Posted on September 2, 2009 at 17:17 1 Comment

The original idea came from the ignorance I felt being a disabled man in the queer community. For example, a lot of the friends I had when I could walk began to drop away and I felt shunned by any potential date. The story then (somehow) became about disability and identity. I was very happy with the story, but it didn’t actually contain much gay content. I came out to myself when I was fourteen, to my family when I was fifteen and diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA) when I was sixteen. I… Continue

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you don't have a face pic on your profile, chances are I won't regognise you. I'm not saying "Change your pic now!" Because if I did, you'd have a right to tell me to fuck off. :-P Just saying, if you think I snobbed you, that'd be why.

Mmm... where am I 'featured'? Still trying to work out how editing settings on my side has an impact on everyone else's interface... the workshop blog is featured because I wanted it to be quickly and easily visible to new storytellers... does that mean you can't see the other blogs? BTW when are you going to tell the story of YOUR name on 'the name game?'

Hiya A... keep meaning to respond to your Q the other day ; ) I did do a spot on Aqueerium just prior to last workshop - that's where Riki heard about it... might do it again before the FEAST launch! Also - if you'd like to invite friends and family to watch your vid feel free to ask them to become members of the site (especially of the 'family' group - created just for that purpose!) BTW what do you think of the music in your piece?

Mmm... I think the actual groups might work a bit like that... although I'm yet to work out what happens if for e.g someone posts an audacity question in the storytellers forum as opposed to the forum FOR technical queries... the mentors/facilitators can only see the forums accesible via main page drop down tab... an interesting architectural design conundrum ad one that's a bit 'clunky' with a white label network... ie limited capacity to customise... sorry if I'm blathering, very tired ; )

Hey Ad'm, Thanx for that. Great to reconnect with you. Am really looking forward to seeing this little baby flourish ... a credit to Sonja & her vision. Hope you're travelling well.
Talk again soon I hope.

Hiya Ad'm - I love how you've customised your page... can't wait for you to feedback on some of the new designs that are evolving for the main page - they should be up by the middle or end of next week... and re 'bulletin board' : there's pretty limited customisation of the space - is the bulletin board a bit like 'latest activity'? Also I can do messages to all members of a particular group... what purpose would it need to serve?
